Overseas Expeditions

The Sports Council for Wales each year supports a number of Welsh based Overseas expeditions to enhance the development of sports men and women involved in outdoor pursuits.

Applications for grant aid should normally be completed before the 31st December prior to the financial year (1st April - 31st march) in which the expedition is planned to take place

Completed applications will be considered at an annual Overseas Expeditions Panel meeting, where applicants will be expected to make a short presentation concerning their proposed expedition.

Each year, to celebrate the achievements of past Welsh based Overseas Expeditions, the Outdoor Pursuits Group and Sports Council for Wales aim to host two illustrated talks - one in North Wales and one in South Wales.

These are always inspiring, often entertaining and can provide valuable pointers for anyone seeking Grant Aid for their own expedition.
