The Outdoor Pursuits Group The spectacular land and sea scape of Wales makes it an ideal location for a variety of outdoor pursuits and adventure activities. But it's important to remember that we share the mountains, rivers and lakes of Wales with many other people, including those who live and work in the Welsh countryside. This can lead to pressure, and sometimes even conflict. This can be minimized by everyone involved in the running of outdoor pursuits in Wales working together to ensure that the use of the countryside remains sustainable, and by trying to persuade local communities that they really can benefit from supporting outdoor pursuits in their area. The Outdoor Pursuits Group of the Welsh Sports Association seeks to represent the views and interests of the Welsh Governing Bodies of sports whose activities take place in the countryside. It provides a forum for discussing common problems, and a means of sharing the expertise and experience that exists within the Governing Bodies represented on OPG.
